Re: Possession (formerly Possession 2) - Steam page up!

I haven't actually yet, but I know there are a couple of other LÖVE games on Steam, I believe they used FFI to do it but I haven't really looked into it yet. Worst case scenario, Steam does actually let you publish games that don't use Steam features. You could totally contact the devs behind Move ...

Re: Possession (formerly Possession 2) - Steam page up!

Well, I did actually go through Greenlight, but yeah, getting on Steam's the easy part now. Although if you mean "how did you interface it with Steam achievements/etc," I haven't actually yet, but I know there are a couple of other LÖVE games on Steam, I believe they used FFI to do it but I haven't ...

Re: Possession (formerly Possession 2) - Steam page up!

A couple of announcements. First of all, I've finally decided to just call the new game Possession, for reasons detailed in my earlier post. Second, and more exciting, the Steam page for Possession is live! If you're a Steam user and you're interested, go ahead and wishlist or follow it to be notifi...

Re: Possession 2 - Latest preview release November 6, 2016

Crossposted from weirdfellows.com A while back, someone cautioned me about naming the game Possession 2, since the first game was just a quick project I made for the 7-day roguelike challenge that I never really spread around after the challenge, and almost nobody has played it or heard of it. As we...

Re: Possession 2 - Latest preview release November 6, 2016

Crossposted from weirdfellows.com These past few weeks have actually been very productive, last week especially. In fact, this past Sunday I actually worked pretty much a full 8-hour workday, which I don't even know if I've ever done before on a personal project. Definitely not since I've been keepi...

Re: Possession 2 - Playable! And on Greenlight!

Sunday still counts as "this week," right? There's a new preview build of Possession 2 available. Download it! This build features the same levels from the last release, though there's been a lot of interface improvements, a tutorial's been added, and creature graphics are now animated. It also incl...

Re: Possession 2 - Playable! And on Greenlight!

So, there's not a new build ready today. Some bugs popped up (plus it's Halloween, I dunno how I realistically expected to get work done tonight). But should be ready some time this week.

Re: Possession 2 - Playable! And on Greenlight!

Thanks! That might be a possibility, but I do want to do some work on them anyway to add animations. Resizing them is the easy part.

Re: Possession 2 - Playable! And on Greenlight!

Crossposted from weirdfellows.com Wow, I knew it had been a while since the last post, but I didn't realize it had been a year. Hold on, this is gonna be a long one. For a while, I wasn't really doing much work on Possession 2 at all. Actually, going by my notes, from May until August I didn't do a...

Re: Clicking through large amounts of text

Other people have given you code that'll probably work, but here's why yours didn't work. The reason it skips to the end is because you're running all the checks one after another. The code in any given function runs all at once (not literally true but enough for practical purposes), the display doe...
