Hey! Thanks so much for these examples - they make everything so much clearer. A quick question though - the example break in the recently-released 11.0 and I can't seem to figure out why. Would you be able to fix your wonderful example to work with the latest version of LOVE?

Re: LÖVE 11.0 released!

Super cool! I have been waiting for this release for a while. I'm very excited to see the lower-level stuff get some attention, together with the different textures.

Maybe someone will finally make a fast way to draw textured polygons with some depth buffering! :awesome:

Re: Korean Chess

I revamped the code and the UI. I got the new pieces from these guys. But I'm not sure how "proper attribution" actually works. Where should I put these in the code? Jasmin Scharrer (original artwork, http://jasminscharrer.com/), Sebastian Pipping (post-processing, https://blog.hartwork.org/) Just ...

Is this a μMMO I see? I just wanted to stop by and wish you the best of luck! It certainly is a daunting task, but it looks like you got your sights set straight. Keep us updated with the progress, please! :awesome:

Re: How to make a doom-like engine/game?

There have been plenty of raycasters made in LOVE over the years, including mine (feel free to look around that one's source code). It's not particularly hard if you follow a tutorial.

Re: love.window.hasFocus() on Android

My problem is that i have no way of testing this for Android. Something like love.window.hasFocus() Make a small program that prints a random number in an in-window console every second or so. Exit the app on android, wait a few seconds and go back into the app - if any new numbers appeared, then t...

Re: "Fake" 3d and stuff

For fake 3D have a look at this thread: https://love2d.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=83059 Basically, you have some 2D layers which then get drawn on top of each other to get the effect. Adding to this, the great people at Windmill Games have used the library, or a similar method, to make a game ....

I've got a couple of Löve users I'm following, but is there a way to filter Löve games somehow?
Itch.io used to maintain a LD game browser, but I think it's a bit behind (displays LD36) games, although there you can sort by LOVE - http://ludumdare.itch.io/#collection=love

Ah, I thought assigning functions like that worked using pointers, so the _oldsetcolor would get turned into recursive function with your code. That's neat.

Re: Trying the new stuff in 0.11.0

And make sure you use forward-compatible wrapper so you remove it once new version is out, not backwards compatible wrapper that'll stay there forever. A bit off topic, but I could never wrap my head around how one would go about making a wrapper or this sort. Would one replace the declaration for ...
