this is not about the next version of Löve (0.10.0) but 1.0.0.

Oh dear, if this is slower than standard löve then I will definitely not port my game with this, I'm already struggling with performance for my game even though I optimized the hell out of it. If performance is important, this port is probably not for you. This port is primarily for targeting phone...

Java is not JavaScript

There is a java game framework running lua that is trying hard to become löve-like, it has been linked above by deathbeam.

there was something made by Kikito (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17727) you can also look into LibGDX
