Re: [Solved] Prevent Moving While Colliding

Depends on your method of collision detection and resolution. We can't do anything without knowing how you coded it. There are numerous ways of doing collision.

Re: Trying to split code into two files

Can we see the code for both files? Obviously at some point in your code you're referring to "woy" but before it's defined. Where is it defined and where is it being called when it crashes? Make sure you're defining "woy" in "map" if that's where it's being defines and not in "main".

Re: "Attempt to index a nil value"

You aren't defining each inert row as a table itself. Basically with that first line in the list you're trying to access item [1] from table [18] to set it to "A" but you can't because you never defined inert[18] as a table first. You need to do more research into how to create 2+ dimensional tables...

Re: Finding the distance between two points

They're still arbitrary. You can use them for pixels of course. You can also use them for tiles or in-game measurements of whatever you choose. It's just math.

You didn't need to bump this thread. lol

What's the real difference between peril and simplex? From an actual usage standpoint.

Help me understand love.math.noise usage properly...

Now I know how it works. And I don't need to know why it works. I am just curious as to why and how it works. lol Noise takes four parameters according to the Wiki . It doesn't say there's a limit to the values. They can apparently be very very large values from negative to positive. I know the firs...

Re: I need help with collision

Welcome! How good are you currently with coding? Do you know Lua or any languages? You might want to look into some helper libraries like Bump (Which does collision and resolution with simple AABB rectangular boxes (No angled boxes or odd shapes) or HardonCollider. (Which does collision, but not res...

Re: Texturing Meshes at an Angle

Finally i found an solution to render trapezoid Bildschirmfoto von »2017-05-23 20-26-04«.png i used following data: (x,y)(s,t,p) ((-1,-1),(0,0,1)), ((-.1,+1),(0,1,.1)), ((+1,-1),(1,0,1)), ((+.1,+1),(.1,1,.1)), Then in the fragment shader i divide s by p The problem is it's still not perspective. No...

GIFs are for showing off stuff on the forum without having to upload to YouTube. Not for putting in the game.
