Re: Does Love support this (Nothing in the docs)?

You can load the image as imagedata (love.image.newImageData(filename)), and then use ImageData:mapPixel to find pixels of a specified color and replace them with pure transparency, before loading the imagedata to an OpenGL image with love.graphics.newImage(imagedata). Or you can simply put your im...

Re: What's everyone working on? (tigsource inspired)

@ monsieur_h my first thought was "how is he going to make this fun ?" . :) That's all the challenge ! My bet is we can have fun out of boring things. To be honest I have no idea how I'll achieve this yet :) It's very good for a first project! If you need an Italian translation (from English, or Ge...

Re: What's everyone working on? (tigsource inspired)

For my first serious LÖVE project, I'm working on a plant-simulation game. Most of graphics are just placeholders, except for the main menu. I managed to embed a real 2D artist and sound designer to help me on the artistic parts. I made a video here: cxP-UgQ68Yk No screenies, since there is little t...

Re: Isomap 0.04 released

I finally took time to try it. Very impressive, and you're iterating fast. When do you plan to release a "stable" version?

Re: Point in rotated rectangle, alternative method

I eventually figured that out. I managed to find the new center of the rotated rectangle using a vector, but it's an overkill to me. If I use vectors, I could directly use micha's method. In essence, that works well, but I'm unsatisfied with my solution. I have no time to make it clean right now, bu...

Re: Isomap 0.03 released

This is relevant to my interest, is asking to much to have you post a video? I'm not always on a computer with löve, and I can't wait to see that !

Re: I need some motivation

You could use commitment to force you to finnish your games. I work with a sound and a graphic designer. As I ask them lot of work, I can't let myself go slower or even abandon the project. Team work is a good way to either re-motivate yourself, or force you to work when you go lazy.

Re: Point in rotated rectangle, alternative method

I used the offset because I was adviced to. It seems to be the easiest way to rotate an object in love. In my game I display my rotated items like that, and use it to have an anchor point around wich I rotate my items (its rarely the center of my image). If you have a better way to do so, I take it....

Re: Point in rotated rectangle, alternative method

Hey, thank you both for your time and your answers. I read ivan's first so I tried it before I read yours, micha . I managed to make a small .love file out of it as a testbed. It works really fine, but I still misunderstand a point : With a central rotation it is easy to find and pass the center to ...
