Re: Some love features I think would be useful

People usually should detect whether something was pressed or released at the current frame (if using the callbacks) or detect whether something is still held down (if using methods in update); Anything else can be implemented using your own code, by storing such state, and querying that state, givi...

Re: Lovely Scene Stack

logic is uncaring; that said, future prospects are extending your lib with other functions that may be useful; that way it won't be just another generic/simple state manager on the block! :3

Re: Ogg Vorbis And Audio Start and end Loop Tags?

As far as i know, it's not, but you can open the file as a File object, seek into it to the proper area based on header definitions you can find on the internet, and if such tags exist, get that info out for yourself. You should also know that Sources do not currently allow you to set loop markers e...

Re: Polygon render errors [v11.2]

https://love2d.org/wiki/love.graphics.polygon Copied literally: When in fill mode, the polygon must be convex and simple or rendering artifacts may occur. love.math.triangulate and love.math.isConvex can be used in 0.9.0+. So unless you make it so it's convex and simple from the get-go, you will alw...

Re: Love2D Library Tips/Gotchas

Just an addendum, colors were integers previously, or rather, bytes if you want to use even more correct terminology, and they were in the range [0,255], but they have been changed to the [0,1] range since löve version 11.0

Re: How to disable uppercase in love.textinput ?

Be aware that, as far as i know, string:lower() and string:upper() only consider the 7-bit ASCII (or at most, the 8bit extended range of the currently used locale) range of characters, and it won't work on utf-8 codepoints since they can be multi-byte which the functions don't support. https://stack...

Re: RPG Party System

On the other hand, there shouldn't be any difference between a 8x8 grid and an "1x1" one, i.e. no grid at all, just pixels; at most, it'd be less performant. Did you try adapting the methods of the thread you previously linked? From what i can tell, jasoco's code didn't move the party members furthe...

there's a limit of 256 active locals per file, but the count resets for files you require().
Last I heard the limit was exactly 200 for any given scope.
It is: http://lua-users.org/lists/lua-l/2014-04/msg00385.html
At least with vanilla lua, but luajit should be the same.
