If you want help, from anyone,(And I learnt that the hard way) you need to give screenshots/vidoes/proof that you already started working on the project. So that people can see-"Ah, this is my type of game" or "Nope, I don't know a single thing about this type of game".

K, thanks for the quick reply, but this is what a reaaaaaalllyyyyy don't like: people saying you should do that or this or I don't think your game is ready to release on Desura.

A grid-locked object is always aligned with the grid. That means its location is normally exactly equal to that of one of the grid squares, so all you have to do is find which grid space has the same co-ordinates as the player.
