Re: Mesh generation problem

mapVertices needs to be a flat array of vertices. (I assume mapVertices is the 'vertices' argument for love.graphics.newMesh().) -- Change mapVertices[i] = { --wall {-s + i, -s + i, 0}, {-s + i, 0 + i, 0}, ... } -- to table.insert(mapVertices, {-s + i, -s + i, 0}) table.insert(mapVertices, {-s + i, ...

Re: Scale Collisions along with Map with STI

Ah, I missed that part. So there are two separate things that should happen. The physics objects for the map should be scaled, and the rendering of the map should be scaled. I feel like your idea of multiplying the x/y/width/height of the physics objects by the scale (at creation time) should've wor...

Re: Scale Collisions along with Map with STI

It looks like you're using a certain common camera library. camera:attach() is supposed to set up the scaling for you. There should be a way to tell the camera library what scale it should be using during rendering (or rather what "size" the camera should be).

Re: Should I set g3d to local or global

I think it's slightly unclear what you actually mean by "local". In the code snippet for the "third solution" you assign the value of the local variable/function parameter 'g3d' to a field in the 'self' table. When you want to access the g3d library in another of myObject's metho...

Re: Lua show black screen when i run code

There's nothing weird about the code. Restarting the game resets everything as expected. Did you disable vsync by any chance? That would likely make the rectangle fly away very fast. To make the game frame rate independent use the delta time supplied to the update function: function love.update(dt) ...

Re: "Unexpected Symbol near if" error

Hello and welcome to the forums. This is what Lua sees, and what errors the code has: local foo = -- Missing an expression after '='. if true then "bar" -- Invalid statement. else "hello world" -- Invalid statement. end In addition to BrotSagtMist's solution using and/or, see a r...

Re: Krol - A turn based isometric dungeon crawler

I've changed the .love file in the first post. Is this what is usually done or should I have put it there? Do you think it would be useful to put also a .exe file here, although most of the forum readers should have Löve installed ? Updating the first post is good. If anyone new checks out the thre...
