Re: Lord of the Rings Battlecards

Thanks, great feedback. 1. Yep, you're right. It's annoying having to wait to see cards etc. When I re-write the A.I. I'll definitely look into achieving this. 2. Yep, apart from Pass and Play, that makes sense. 3. Hmm, I suppose the ideal would be to look into adjusting to the screen resolution and...

Re: Lord of the Rings Battlecards

Thanks for the feedback :) I hadn't thought about the trickiness of seeing the colours, I'll darken them up. I could add an option to the options screen for the sounds to be summon only, yes they can get a bit repetitive! They're switched off automatically for Pass and Play so you don't give away th...

Re: Lord of the Rings Battlecards

Hello all. Anyone managed to get the link to work for them now? I'd appreciate the feedback - especially regarding balancing. Playing it on Pass and Play is the best way to test, especially if you have a friend! I've been trying to play every possible combination match of the six finished decks to t...

Re: Help with light effects

If you've been programming for 20 years I'm not sure I can be of much help...! But I'll try anyway and feel free to disregard :) If this is tile based, do you currently have a love.draw function that simply loops through the tiles based upon (some sort of map?) to draw and presents them to the scree...

Re: Lord of the Rings Battlecards

Sorry - silly mistake. I packaged the folder rather than the contents. I'll repost a link when it's fixed.

*Edit: I've repackaged it and it should be working now. Try the edited link in the original post. Thanks for spotting.
Has anyone been able to confirm that it worked for them?

Re: Lord of the Rings Battlecards

Download version 1.2 Read me available here Please note, the currently playable (finished) decks are: Erebor (Thorin) Gondor (Aragorn) Isengard (Saruman) Lorien...

Lord of the Rings Battlecards

Hi folks! Complete amateur with Love2d here but for quite a while now(!) I've been playing around with making a card game with CCG-type mechanics (e.g. Hearthstone) but based on the characters and world of Lord of the Rings (because hey, I love that!). Up until now it's been completely for my own en...

Re: Debugging using ZeroBrane Studio

Okay, quite simple in the end then. Just changed love.load() to love.load(arg).

Don't know where arg is defined... but gonna go with what I think works..!
