Re: The Lovers Behind The Games
This is a cool thread, interesting stories. I'm a 22 year old dude living in Tennessee with my wonderful girlfriend. I go to the university here, studying electrical engineering. If I'm lucky, I'll graduate next May. My ultimate goal is to build my house/studio on a plot of land north of Nashville, ...

Re: Tower Quest
This is really cool.I'm sad that there's no music during the gameplay, but it's beautiful, visually. Especially like the title screen. Never been one for these kinds of puzzles, but I admire that you keep adding more and more to the game like new kinds of tiles and what not. Your programming must be...

Re: An open request to LÖVE library authors...
I agree a lot with what Robin's saying. Taking people's feelings into consideration =/= putting them on a pedestal. Recently, I had to go to the Office of Equity and Diversity here at school because a professor was using softcore pornography as a firefox add-on. I don't think there's anything wrong ...
Re: Anybody need music for their game?
Yeah, scu, this is pretty cool of you. I've been perusing your music, and I really like a lot of it.
Just curious, what tools do you use? I've been using Fruity Loops and have been pleased with it, but am looking for an open-source DAW for later on down the road.

Re: Perspectives on game development
Wow. Thanks guys. I appreciate all the links and words of wisdom here. I'm definitely going to try to make more stuff re-usable, practice using classes in a practical way, read the resources ya'll have given me, and especially opening up sample code and seeing how others have tackled this issue. Ima...

Re: Graphics Editor of Choice?
I've been using Flash for a long time, and since it's what I'm comfortable with I use it. I like Photoshop and GIMP, too, but I just crank stuff out as fast with them.

Perspectives on game development
I've been working on a simple 2D fighting game lately, but I've noticed that I'm hesitant to go forward with the programming. I'm having a hard time figuring out where to put certain variables like projectile velocity, collision details, map elements, etc. I want to be able to add mechanics to the g...

Re: Distribution questions
Doh. Thanks!
Will Mac users be able to run this .exe? If not, how can I make a separate distribution for them?
Thanks again.

Distribution questions
I'm trying to make a game.exe so my windows friends can play my game without having to install LÖVE. I'd also like to make a similar file for my Mac-user friends. I have no trouble making a .love and getting it to work on my PC, I've read the wiki and searched some threads on the forums but I must b...
