just edited the first post with a somewhat sloppy, but better than before mockup so you guys can see what I'm going for a little better.

"Kid didn't know what happened after the Calamity..." Oops. I'm getting a very Bastion vibe with the segmented land style you've got going.

Ryne, I'm currently working on an RPG of my own, and have only recently started laying out towns and such. How would you feel about having variations of my maps in your game?

Yeah, one thing I'm trying to get across is that there won't be a "segmented land style" in the final game, thats just the best way to show the graphics right now, there will probably be water around that beach, dirt around the rock.

i loved the look of scary monsters and i love the look of this nice work so far man. i'm looking forward to seeing this one come along.

Created completely in Photoshop at like 1000x zoom using the 1x pencil tool - pixel by pixel. All colours are straight out of my head.

Also, I'm still active on this. I know I don't jump on here often between work and other stuff but I'm still designing.
