Now i'm trying to do simple AI. For now, there is one rotating bot - DKR-55, with two laser cannons and good shields. And when you are in front of that bot, he stops rotating =)

so this is basically a 2D top-down Descent? :awesome: I thought I recognised all of those sound effects from somewhere ;)

This looks like it could be promising. If I may make a couple of suggestions:
Ramming fast into the wall should cause a loss of some shield :-) Right now it seems totally safe to drive at full speed into the walls.
Ship speed seems quite slow - could it be performance-related (I'm running this on a low-spec machine)?

Yeah that's basically top-down Descent, but with other plot, bots (not models -_-) and missions =)
For now nothing happens if you ram wall. The same situation is with missiles - when you shoot them close to the wall, it doesn't deal you any damage. That will be improved in next versions.
Have you tried to hold S (enables engine force)? It would be faster =)

Your game makes me wanna throw my embarrassing attempts into the trash.

Looking forward to it too. :)

Did you make the graphics yourself?

Bots and ships graphics are stolen from one old game. Other (menu, HUD) done by me =)
