Saving and loading is a go! I'm slowly adding the necessary features to make basic levels.
I've been streaming gamedev on Twitch.tv, because it helps me focus when I know I'm live (and might get me a little publicity).

I think I might have gone overboard on the presentation of my prototype whatever it is I've been playing with. But oh well. Here's a preview of what I've been doing. I'll make a video in the next few days. You'll probably enjoy it.

Compare it to the last video I made. Programmer art!

Ok. Just added a very first shader to colour Player 2 in blue colours.

My step dust particles look strange. Could anyone help me with them? :death:

They look too round-ish, and probably would look better with less alpha. Other than that, put some dust when the guy falls on the floor, so it adds some impact to it :ultraglee:
Don't check my github! It contains thousands of lines of spaghetti code in many different languages cool software! :neko:

In this video, dust always spawns directly below the center of the player's sprite, so it looks like a little white spot between their feet.Try making it spawn behind the player when they are running, instead of underneath them.

I think it would also look better if you offset each particle on the x/y axes with random numbers. More deviation on the X-axis makes the effect look wider, Y makes it taller etc.

And try playing with your variables like particle size, alpha, movement etc.

thank u guys. yup. u r right.
but the particles are glued to the player sprite... (for some other effects)
i'd like to have particles for the game screen... But then i lose Z-index

now i think, i can make stuff with shaders.
