LÖVE-Jam 1 [VOTING]

Post by Davidobot » Mon Sep 02, 2013 1:44 pm

Hello, I have decided, using the help of the lovely people on the IRC to host the LÖVE-Jam.

The contest will begin at 0:00 GMT on the 7th of September and finished at 0:00 on the 9th of Septmber.

Deh Rules:
- Your Game needs to be made in LÖVE
- You are allowed to use libraries and third-party graphical and sound assets, as long as they are under a free-to-use licence.
- Your Game needs to be based on the theme.
- You are allowed to participate in teams and alone.
- The Judging will be done like so: after we get all the entries, I'm going to put up a poll with the games, the people will have to choose 3-4 games they enjoyed and vote for them, the top games win.
- You can submit your games up until Wednesday the 11th.

The winning theme has been chosen and it is.... SPACE!
The other themes were:
Bio-Engineering
LÖVE
Claustrophobia
Parallel Worlds
Curiosity
Mechatronics
Time Traveling
Synchronization
Connections

Please post your entries on this thread. You can submit your games after the deadline.
Also, please vote for a theme! The winning theme will be announced a day before the Jam starts.

Wouldn't it be better to disclose the voting results until the theme is announced?

Edit: Also, what are the rules? Is it allowed to use third-party assets or do we have to do everything ourselves? Can we jam in teams? Do we have to use LÖVE? Do we have to base our game on the theme? How will the results be judged?

I'm going to try to take part. In fact, I'm brainstorming ideas for games for all the categories. I really hope it's space though. That would be awesome. By the looks of things, it seems like it's going to be space.

I don't know if I will be able to join though. I have school now. Homework and stuff might be an issue. I'll try my best though! Looking forward to it :D
