What is Ludum Dare?
"Ludum Dare is an accelerated video game development competition. It was founded by Geoff Howland and was first held in April 2002. Participants are required to create a video game that fits within a given theme in two days."

There are 2 competitions at the same time;
Ludum Dare
More strict with using old assets and code, solo only, 48 hours.

Ludum Dare Jam
Teams are allowed, you can use some old assets and code, 72 hours.


Previous Ludum Dare
The last time we had several Löve games in the top 100, and Safety blanked coming in as high as number 5 in the Jam version.


So, who will join Ludum Dare this time around?

I might, but the recent Windows 8 update out my computer on the fritz. Hopefully it's fixed before then.

I will be busy on the saturday, and then in transit on sunday. I plan on doing the 72 hour jam in transit ;)

I don't have much time but I probably can't resist throwing in a few hours anyway... but no idea if I'll be able to finish anything :p

No you don't, you do need an account though, in order for you to be able to submit your game when it is done.

Basically, you're a frog, until you get eaten by a raccoon, until you get eaten by a mosquito, until you get eaten by a frog, until you get eaten by a raccoon . . . . we're all connected . . . in this swamp world. Yeah. It's in-theme.

Barely got to finish the mechanics so I didn't get much time to playtest and tune it.
