I actually thought the same thing, but there is a camera module. I believe veethree linked to it in the above post. Camera movement is really fun, and if your bored or sad, mess with the rotate function in the module and you'll be cheery in no time!

There isn't a camera module isn't built into löve, But the guy who wrote the tutorial i linked to writes one throughout the tutorials.
