I know this question has been asked one time before and that guy solved it by updating his video card drivers but in my case it didn't.
Basically when I tried to run the "Hello, world" example I got the following error:
X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 4 (X_DestroyWindow)
Resource id in failed request: 0xe00017
Serial number of failed request: 312
Current serial number in output stream: 312
AL lib: (EE) alc_cleanup: 1 device not closed

Before you ask, I made sure to run it properly, I tried to run it as a .love file, I updated my drivers.
There's some info about my PC, it's old, I use it only for programming and it holds very well:
OS: Arch Linux x86_64
Host: HP Compaq dc7600 Small Form Factor
Kernel: 4.20.3-arch1-1-ARCH
Packages: 1269 (pacman)
Shell: bash 5.0.0
CPU: Intel Celeron 2.80GHz (1) @ 2.790GHz
GPU: Intel 82945G/GZ
Memory: 625MiB / 2488MiB

Thanks in advance.

Your computer has reached puberty you must be proud

Do older versions work? Try love 10 maybe?

Make sure the version of SDL2 on your system is as up to date as possible (2.0.9 is the latest version).

I've got sdl 1.2.15-10 and sdl2 2.0.9-1 installed, could it be that LOVE tries to use sdl1 instead of sdl2?

I lost the original account so I'm using this one to help anyone who stumbles here
Turns out all I needed to do is use hardware made in the past 10 years :^)
