How'd you manage to record it without massive performance issues? Or did you use a non-Windows operating system to do so?
I knew it, bumping your topic would give you more viewers!

I presume that you use Fraps, because I also have issues with games that run at very high fps when recording with Fraps. I am no expert at how recording software works but I think Fraps goes bananas when you hit 200-300+ fps (very unusual not to get that high fps on a 2d game).

The software I use instead is called "Bandicam", it was suggested to me by a friend and it works very well. It also seems to compress the videos by itself, so they take only a fraction of space compared to what a fraps recording would take.

OS: Windows 8.

Very nice! Reminds me a bit of Hotline Miami. The idea to record my actions and replay when new character is played is really nice, fits with the theme perfectly

I use Bandicam as well. The lack of compression in Fraps made it impossible to work with.

From what I know, the game is capped to 60 FPS, due to V-Sync. My particular problem is that the Bandicam FPS counter would still show 60, and the video was definitely recording at 30, but LÖVE was evidently running at a much lower FPS. I think it's something to do with how LÖVE almost completely kills the performance of anything but the game on Windows (at least for me).

The difference in operating system might cause it, but from what I know, Windows 8 is pretty similar to Windows 7.

Thanks. Hotline Miami was another inspiration, with the fast-paced and deadly top-down combat.
