First heard about it on Free Gamer's blog http://freegamer.blogspot.com/
Then, recently found it again while searching on web (Google) for 2D game engine

I was looking for a reason to learn Lua, and wanted something good that works on Linux and Windows.

On lua's web pages... 3 days ago... I am already doing cool stuff

LÖVE is listed on Lua's webpages? I didn't know that.

I found it because someone mentioned it on the www.gp32x.com forums.

I came across it via a link here.

I found it via Google while searching for a 2d game engine. I can't remember if I had refined my search to Lua or not, I don't think I had but I remember the link being pretty high up the list on the 1st page. I almost never go to a 2nd page of search results. I'm that web surfer.

When I first searched for one (I even had used "lua" in the search), LOVE was on the second, or third page. It's getting popular

google, i did a search for lua 2d game engines, didnt notice love at first but theres this big list thats basicly all game engines, and it breaks it down by how its written, 2d /3d what scripting language ect

ive been just going down the list
