PO2 discussion

It's an OpenGL extension, so we should be able to test if the extension is loaded. (the extension is part of the OpenGL 2.0 standard IIRC)


EDIT: Apparently phpbb messed up, and we lost a few posts in this topic, nothing hugely noteworthy though, carry on.

I vote:
- official documentation should say to always use PO2 images (even if it'll work otherwise sometimes)
- modify packaged demos to use PO2 images

We'll need to redo some of them for 0.7.0 anyway, since font origin changed.

Can you also return the ability to play a sound file more than once at a time without having to create multiple instances? Only allowing them to play once at a time really goes against every single other game out there and makes certain sound effects not work right.

Well, it's not the sounds that can't be played multiple times, it's a source, think of them as RL sound sources and you'll understand that it'd be weird if it did.
