The game is in an early stage of development, so it might look unpolished for now

Brendan

A 13 year-old boy who loves tennis. He’s also able to learn mythical abilities called Star Powers.

Toby

Brendan’s best friend who also loves tennis, and is also able to learn Star Powers. However, on that day…

Well, that’s it for now. But fortunately, I’ll be updating this post with new info every few days, so stay tuned!

Very cool! I'm working on an old-school JRPG too in love2d, so i'm very curious to see how you did it

A sneak peek of the second town. It’s kinda yellow-ish.

I'm probably gonna release a demo soon (i.e. in about two months)

How I did it? Well... with some time, some pacience, and some very messy code that I'll probably cringe at in a few years

Would you like to visit uncle Serew? He might even help you with getting into the sewers…

Toby's gonna turn into a fourth-dimensional illusion kid isn't he..

SUPER COOL - keep it up. Beat down those dialogue challenges, and weird magical spaces inside places that are way bigger than on the outside. Also, eventing challenges; changing entire level areas after an event occurs.
(persistent items: jumping chest items from one version of the map to the next)

My tip.. keep the gameplay simple. Roleplaying games are super fun and tactically weird - even when theres a lot of them.
Hiding foods and health kits in places, and knowing how much they're going to grind monsters is key.
Also chance drops for money is special. Nothing feels better than not having to worry about money on accident. hehe ☆
