You could try something along the lines of Construct, and have an unstable build, and if there are below a certain number of (critical) bugs declare it to be stable?

To bring this back up, something relevant: one of the Glibc developers (one of the key ones, too) is causing enough strife for Debian to switch to a fork of it. Community-versus-developer(s).

I understand there may be the possibility for being able to pixel-level collision when the ability to read pixels is added, but as for being a out-of-the-box collision detection method, unlikely.
