Re: [GAME] Fives (remake)

Androids look like tetris. On another note, I fixed a bug and tweaked some values, first post updated.

Re: [GAME] Fives (remake)

this is probably due to me using a .woff file format for the font. Works for me though and had it tested as fused exe on my brothers PC - what OS are you using, nixola?

Edit:
Updated first post, new version should work.

[GAME] Fives (remake)

Hi lövers, This is a remake of a little casual game I found in the FirefoxOS marketplace, called "Fives". I made this to a) have finally a game done ^^ and b) see how development goes when there is a detailed vision of the target from beginning. Well, enough introduction, screenshot... 201...

Re: love.graphics.newImage hanging

Ok, a few thoughts beforehand: First, if you group the tiles to sheets, loading few big files should go smoother than loading many small ones. Second, have you been on a laptop so far? Maybe one with a slow hard disc? I have one of these myself, and it suffers a lot from loading hiccups; I had to mo...

I haven't, but I have bookmarked http://www.gamefromscratch.com/post/2015/01/04/A-Closer-Look-at-the-Godot-Game-Engine.aspx and http://www.gamefromscratch.com/post/2015/01/22/Godot-Engine-Tutorial-Part1-Your-First-Godot-Application.aspx (has part 2&3 as well) - but didn't found the time to dive ...

Re: Love for Business Applications

You would need a versatile GUI, loveframes is your best bet probably here. Depending on what you want to do, the text input functionality is (yet) missing some standard features though. Then there is the I/O component, in a tool you want to allow the user to save/load whereever desired, instead of d...

well from 500 to 200 means, instead of 2ms per frame you now need 5ms - to me that doesnt sound problematic at all

Re: Is there interest in a comprehensive guide to LÖVE?

Well I was about to mention PiL too.. something like that for Löve would be quite cool, PiL was a very good learning resource for me. I don't think I could contribute meat to such an undertaking, though. How would you structure it? Picking a demo project and built it up from easy-to-difficult? While...

Re: [QUESTION]About Roguelikes in Löve and the Astray librar

I think a RL is not that bad as a beginner project, because you can build it nicely layer by layer. First do a mapgen with walls and floors only. Then have a display for it, it can be scrolling (player always at center, and show only x*x tiles around him), or have the whole map static and the player...
