I solved it by doing this.. I set a reference to itself as it's data.
Example:
bigbox = love.physics.newShape(body, 32,...)
bigbox:setData(bigbox)
Example:
bigbox = love.physics.newShape(body, 32,...)
bigbox:setData(bigbox)
