Re: Pröxima - A Space RTS
Ok i'll support 1024x768 :) The 2 screens I work with 90% of the time have 1680x1050 as resolution. I love widescreen but sadly enough as you mentioned, not every game supports widescreen ratio's. So I'll be supporting mainly 4:3 and 8:5, plus some extra one's like 5:3 (1280x768), 5:4 (1280x1024) I'...

Re: Pröxima - A Space RTS
Yes ofcourse
But i have to decide the minimum resolution to support. I mean 800x600 is out of the question but is 1024x768 still to common? Is anyone here using this resolution (or simular)?

Re: Pröxima - A Space RTS
Thanks for the positive replies I'll keep using this kind of style then.
While designing the GUI i've yet to decide to support i'll support XGA screen resolution (1024x768) or not. It seems 25% to 33% is still using 1024x768 or lower.
What do you guys think should be the minimum screen resolution?

Re: Pröxima - A Space RTS
Hey an update again. I have a question. I've been working on the GUI of the game. I've made an early concept of the building menu. What do you guys think of the visual style i'm aiming at? Any suggestions or comments? (Don't mind the repeating icons or missing unit images, it's a concept) http://i49...

Re: Additional LÖVE Libraries (ALL?)
Nice idea,
maybe add a boolean in the config file to switch the libraries on, just like the current ones (graphics, sound, ...).
Proper Documentation, stability, completeness, general usefullness are requirements in the selection.

Re: Pröxima - A Space RTS
Ofcourse the cutscene's will be optional. Same when the game starts. I also hate it when you are forced to watch the same intro movie again and again.

Re: Pröxima - A Space RTS
New update: Not much programming progress but weapons and projectiles are added so units will fight each other. 8-) I've done much brainstorming since the last update: I've come up with the red line in the story and have split it into several chapters (missions). The story will be told in between t...

actually there are 3 of thosebartbes wrote:I wonder why there's one tree in there that looks different. (above the health bar, if you hadn't noticed)
@Jasoco: Maybe if you randomly use 3 different big trees it will break the pattern even more. But it looks nice already
