Hmm. Okay. We've pretty much covered everything I can think of that might be at issue here. At this point my only suggestion is to install an emulator and run it under Ubuntu. Works for me.

Exactly the same results? Hmm. Well, try Windows 2000 compatibility mode. It SHOULD be identical to Windows XP, but there's a number of things in Vista that "just work" with Windows 2K mode over XP. I don't know why, they're both the same core system, but it just works that way sometimes. ...

Did you use the installers or did you download the zip file? I'd say if you used the installer, uninstall and reinstall running the installer in Administrator mode. If you downloaded the zip, then I'm all out of ideas, other than extracting it in Administrator mode. Christ I feel like I'm trouble-sh...

This is going to sound crazy, but did you disable that thingy in your user profile that forces it to ask you for permission each and every application? I've been hearing that a lot of apps don't work correctly if you disable that. I wish I could be more specific, but I'm on Linux.
