printing rotated text?

I can print rotated text, and I can print formatted text (formatted means aligned and wrapped after some number of characters).

But I cannot print rotated formatted text. Will this be added to love sometime soon?

Returning for more love

Hello all - I haven't touched love in about 6 months, and I'm glad to see that the community is still strong and vibrant. Since I've been gone a while, I thought I'd put all my "fresh(ish) eyes" comments in one place. 1 - I love the new wiki. So functional, and much easier to use than the ...

Re: 0.6.0 Update

Then you'll be delighted to hear, Mr Strange, that fonts are just as horrible as before. :neko: Half of my pleasure comes from this confession, and half comes from the fact that I know 6.1 will be _all about_ a rewrite of the font system. How much would you charge to support formatted text which is...

Re: 0.6.0 Update

Looking forward to the update. Where should I check to find the most complete list of changes / additions?

I'm most interested in the love.graphics.print statements, as I've been fighting text display issues for, like, a full year now.

Re: Draw Text Rotated?

I'm not sure about this, but I found these functions: print(str, x, y ) print(str, x, y , angle) print(str, x, y , angle, s) print(str, x, y , angle, sx, sy) printf(str, x, y, wrap, align) I hope this is enough to satisfy you :D Well no - because none of those both wrap and draw at an angle. -- Mr....

Re: Draw Text Rotated?

I've been waiting for rotated + line-wrapped text for quite a while now. I don't see it listed specifically in the 0.6.0 list linked above... Perhaps you simply mean that draw functions for images and text are disambiguated? That's cool, but the OP and I still want to rotate our formatted text. Can ...

Re: Fonts - Again!

That was pretty clear - thank you.

For the spcing line - it can be any color, so long as that color is not used elsewhere in the image? And it is identified as the color at the start and end of the image?

Re: Fonts - Again!

Alright, I was able to get your example to work. What are the limits on a font? how does love know how wide the "letters" are in your example? Do they need to be greyscale? Black and White? Do those yellow lines need to be evenly spaced? Do they need to be yellow? Hopefully, you're just fo...

Re: Finding a love image by string

It's habit. I've been doing the double-dash "Mr. Strange" for so long that my fingers just type it automatically while I take that moment to make sure I'm really finished typing. In my defense, the "post" dialogue does not display my name anywhere. So to realize that I'm being tr...

Re: Game Contest 2008

Although I won't be participating in this, I've had the idea of trying to get folks from this group to merge into a independent development team. I'll be interested to see how much people enjoy the experience.
