Hey, I tried loading this windows font, terminal fat.fon
It's a .fon file, and it seems it won't up in size. I'll attach a .love file.

Re: .fon fonts
FreeType (the library LÖVE uses for loading / rasterizing fonts) gives an "invalid pixel size" error when it tries to set the size of that font. I don't think LÖVE officially supports anything other than TrueType font files and the LÖVE image font format.
Re: .fon fonts
Thanks. So I'll try to find terminal fat as an ttf.
Re: .fon fonts
You could try converting the file type.
An answer to this question details how to.
Alternatively, you could also use this tool.
I haven't tested either method myself, but I'm sure one of them will work.

I tried autotracing yesterday along with FontForge, must learn more about autotrace. Thanks.
