It's probably an issue with canvases or shaders, though I've no idea how such a good graphics card could take issue with that. If the menus render fine, can you try turning off the shaders in the options menu. Try turning off noise and bloom first, then try turning off motion blur as well.

We turned off all the effects and reset several times. No luck, sadly.

I've no idea then. Perhaps try it in fullscreen? Does his computer run other LÖVE games (preferably using shaders) fine? Other than that I can't think of anything; it's quite strange.

It turns out the second most recent Nvidia driver for his card simply didn't draw canvases at all - tested using your lighting example. After updating his drivers the game functioned as it should!
