Awesome job, Markgo. I've been trying it intensively.It looks smooth, highly responsive.
Can't wait to see how far this one goes. Keep it up, watching the progresses.

PS: You might want to add some pictures in the OP.

I put a huge update on the update branch. It includes a new loader module for saving and loading maps. Currently in testing. See the first page for demo. Tell me if the demo has problems ^^.

Error with love file. scrolling_example.lua:17: attempt to call field 'drawq' (a nil value)

In LOVE 0.9.0, drawq is now draw, so you are indeed free to try to make this work with 0.9 by doing that and any other miscellaneous changes.

I also don't quite recommend two year necrobumps, but I would recommend taking a look at STI in place of this, which unlike this, is actively maintained.
