Re: FAULTSURFERS (LÖVE Jam 2022)

Pretty simple, I just used Love.js to do it! Since the version linked in the forum thread doesn't seem to be active anymore, I used this fork: https://github.com/Davidobot/love.js I made a couple edits to the HTML template, but the actual functionality of the port is unchanged. I also set it to buil...

Re: What's the default LOVE window size?

Pretty sure it's 800x600.
You can change it for your project with the conf.lua file though!

FAULTSURFERS (LÖVE Jam 2022)

Hey folks! Figured I'd post my entry for this year's LÖVE Jam here. Earthquakes around the world are opening cracks in the earth and swallowing cities! As a member of FAULTSURFERS, an elite squad of dudes with grappling hooks, your job is to save as many civilians as you can from the carnage. Good l...

Re: LÖVE Jam 2022

Looks like it hasn't been listed here yet, but the jam page says the theme is Earthquake.

I've got a weird little idea, hard to say if it'll be any good but I'm certainly gonna give it a shot!

Re: Prose & Codes

Dang, that's a super neat game concept! I haven't tried the demo yet, but going by the trailer it looks to be nicely polished too.

Re: Open Pixel Puzzles

would be useful being able to snap-together pieces outside the "chessboard" too. So that you can build sections and later place them as one piece. Oh yeah, 100% something I want to do at some point! I'm still thinking about how to do it in a way that feels natural though, since the pieces...

Re: Auto-reloading assets

Is this hotswap useful for anything else except testing / debugging? That's the main use, but I think it's a good one depending on how much content you plan to put in a game. In my case I'm building an RPG, so being able to tweak maps, numbers, dialogue, etc on the fly will be invaluable. On a simi...

Auto-reloading assets

Hey guys, I just started working on a new project and I wanted to share a neat little thing I did to automatically export and reload my assets. I imagine most folks know how to do this already, but I figured it could be interesting for anyone who doesn't know. I have a full write-up of how it works ...
