Journey To The Stars (NOW ON ITCH.IO)

Post by rmcode »

Journey To The Stars

Hello there,

I want to introduce you to my first original game called Journey To The Stars. It's an endless runner inspired by games like Race The Sun or Into The Dead. Your only goal is to avoid the incoming asteroids to reach new highscores. I've been coding a bit longer than a year now, but only recently started looking into game development so any constructive criticism is highly appreciated.

The game features a shop, where you can buy upgrades like shields or a "dashing engine".

Awesome work, I like it a lot!

Seems a little like a sideways and more polished version of a game I made about 8 months ago.

I hope you're not offended by me comparing your game to my terrible old game :P

Just noticed that when you press escape in-game, the mouse stays hidden and it's pretty hard to click the buttons. You might want to fix that ;)

Thanks a lot and no, I'm not offended at all :D Your game looks like a lot of fun too!

I should also mention that I'm a big fan of Kingdaro's Mine Jumper :3

Updated to 0326
  • Added full gamepad support (menus also can be navigated via gamepad now).
  • Fixed Issue #9 - Gamepad is now mapped correctly on both Mac OS and Windows
  • Fixed Issue #10 - Mouse Cursor is no longer hidden on confirmation screen
  • Game window can't be resized anymore.
With this update the last big feature I had on my TODO list was implemented - now I guess it's finally time to move on to a new project.
