File uploading now active on the Wiki!

Post by thelinx »

I've fixed the file uploading on the wiki. All registered users should be able to upload pictures.

I've set up these basic rules:
  • If uploading a screenshot:
    • Name it: MyAwesomeGame-Screenshot, MyAwesomeGame-Screenshot2, et.c.
    • You can also give a more descriptive name, e.g. MyAwesomeGame-ScaryZombie
    • You should use jpg.
  • If uploading a logo or similar picture:
    • Name it: MyAwesomeGame-Logo (or whatever it is)
    • You can use png.
  • If uploading a tutorial resource:
    • Name it: Resource-ExplosionFrames (or whatever it is)
    • You should use png.
Since many files were abducted during the alien raid, there are now a bunch of missing images. If you have access to them, please upload them.
Here's a list.

Thank you for flying with Team Unreliable Pollution :nyu:

I won't stop you from doing png screenshots, but I say that you should use jpg.

Because screenshots are generally large, meaning that they don't need as much precision, so therefore using JPG, which has a powerful lossy compression algorithm, is much better. If your screenshot is a thumbnail, then I recommend using PNG, though.
Good bye.
