Boing — a Rebound clone

Post by Darky »

Here's a clone of Rebound ( http://creativelybankrupt.net/ from Ludum Dare 26) called Boing :
The code is REALLY ugly (coded in 2 hours), but the goal was to find the same sensations (the same gameplay) as Rebound

keyboad :
  • left and right (or a/d) for moving
    r for restart
    return for toggle fullscreen
    escape for captainobviousing.
Something does feel wrong, but I can't figure what, can you help me ?

damn, this is so hard !
Could you please add a reset if the player fall down ? :p
And the rotation speed if the player press a key is soo fast o.o :D

edit: I found a problem while playing,
for some reason after you passed a few blocks( to the right ) and then move back - there is just a plane ground but the stick still collide with invisible blocks.

Quite addicting!
I can barely get above 60, the game is brutal once your stick goes out of control. A lot of fun though, I keep wanting to do better and find myself replaying it.
You could definitely get somewhere with this.

Thank's a lot for your feedback!

It's scary how addictive this game can be..

I will probably make some "levels", in order to make the game more friendly (a random map seems way to hard to begin with)
