Engine Crash (Windows XP)

Post by Mason »

So Love keep crashing on me. I've reinstalled it several times from both the .exe and the .zip downloads and it always displays a Send Error Report message.

Help? D:

*Update: I tried running it an 256 colors mode and I managed to get a black and white screen going with no input available, which tells me this might be a graphics issue?

Is it LÖVE 0.7.1? What are you trying to run? How are you running it?

I'm just trying to start up 0.7.1 from the install, simple as that.

I don't know what that means, but LÖVE expects to be given something to run as a argument when you execute it.

Try to download a .love file and either execute LÖVE from the command line (love filename.love) or drag the .love file and drop it on love.exe.

Try the Wiki for the basics.

What processor are you using? Currently Love requires an SSE2 compatible processor (I think this will change in 0.7.2). SSE2 came to Intel in 2001, and AMD in 2003.

If you mean making a game and the .love files do work then and your are really a new to love then read the wiki but also download my editor for love its
very limited right now but it will give you a starting point for testing and building to a .love file. good luck.

URL can be found in my sig.
